Municipal Valve – Case Study

Challenge: An engineer in the design stage of a raw water influent structure was concerned about the head loss across the valve when it was under full-flow conditions.

Solution: Plug valves are engineered and designed for sewage applications. A DeZurik PEF – a 100% ported eccentric plug valve – was the solution, to allow optimum flow and reduce energy consumption. This job is currently under construction with the PEF, ensuring cost savings and eliminating any concern of head loss.
